Mrs Mellor and Mr MacGibbon took part in the Green Leek 10.5 Km Multi-terrain race over the weekend. The route from Burton Green to Leek Wootton, passes down the Greenway to Kenilworth and then across country, through fields, gates and woods before finishing around the Warwickshire Golf course.
Numbers are limited to 500, but the fields were strong with lots of runners from local clubs, notably Kenilworth Runners. Our PE Duo, however, were not intimidated and put in respectable performances, Mr MacGibbon finishing in 9th place overall and Mrs Mellor going a couple better finishing as the 7th woman! Please be kind if you see them hobbling a round school tomorrow!
