Global Virtues Week- Bilton
By Jenny and Kristy

Bilton School will be participating in Global Virtues week this 2018. A number of different activities will be taking place hosted by a variety of our wonderful teachers; we are so privileged to be a part of this spectacular celebration!

To begin with, Year 7 and 8 pastoral leader, Ms Stevenson, will be holding a jive taster session for year 7 and 8 to join in on the fun. This will allow students interested in this activity to have a go and enjoy learning something new.

Whereas, Ms Payne, who is an English teacher, is, "looking forward to seeing you at the Hungarian session". You can learn a few words for, "your holidays" and discover some, "amazing foods".

Global Virtues means to Mr Dodd's to have confidence that, "if you believe in yourself, you can achieve".

Accompanying the other activities, Mr Wragg, who is a PE teacher, is coaching Kabaddi after school. Kabaddi is an African game of culture based on physical education. Kabaddi is the national sport of Bangladesh.

Furthermore, Mr Norman, who is a Maths teacher, is helping the community litter pick with the help of students from Bilton.

From our canteen, our cooks will be making food from around the world to celebrate the different cultures of food.

This year, we are looking forward to be contributing to the Rugby food bank on the 28th March 2018. This is an amazing event that will help so many people and families who have low wages or are struggling to provide for their family. We hope to raise as much food for the food bank as possible to support our community further.

Additionally, Bilton are supporting Global Virtues week and focusing on spreading peace and love around the world as, "together we can do great things". Globally, Bilton are trying to influence acceptance and self-love.

Overall, Global virtues week is about bringing people all over the world together. Our goal is to empower individuals to live more meaningful lives. Also to create a safe, caring community.
