Countries in Crisis

March 2022
Stowe Valley MAT raised over £6350 in aid of the humanitarian crises in Ukraine and Afghanistan. All proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and be matched by the government so we have actually raised twice as much.

Children's Mental Health Awareness Week
Caroline Bradburn

This week we have been campaigning across the school to raise awareness and acknowledge the importance of mental health.

From year group assemblies, talking tip handouts, "time to talk" stalls, social media top tips, our new wellbeing puppy meet and greet, primary school visits, reception area display to ending our week with a sweet treat sale! The week has been jam packed and what a wonderful week it has been!

Today the Sixth Form Well-being team ended the week by launching their new "Tuck in tuck shop". It was amazing to see the time and effort the team had put into their new venture. A great selection of treats including Valentine's Day special brownies and love themed sweet bags! Their leadership was fabulous and we are so proud of all you have achieved this week; from challenging your skill set by leading assemblies for the first ever time to supporting each other to fundraise for a brilliant cause. You should be really proud of yourselves and certainly represented this weeks theme of "growing together"

Well done to all staff and students who have made "time to talk" for themselves or others this week and have been involved.Have a great weekend.
