Countries in Crisis

March 2022
Stowe Valley MAT raised over £6350 in aid of the humanitarian crises in Ukraine and Afghanistan. All proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and be matched by the government so we have actually raised twice as much.

Bilton School GCSE Results
Caroline Bradburn

Bilton School celebrated another fantastic set of GCSE results this year.

Significant improvements were seen across the board with the % of students who gained a grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths rising to 69% and those gaining a grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths rising to 49%. Our value added score per student per subject is now approaching half a grade higher than what they were required to achieve compared to students from similar starting points.

Headteacher Tim Chambers commented 'We are really pleased to have improvements in both the attainment and progress of our Year 11 students this year. We enjoyed significant increases across almost all subject areas, which will set our Year 11 leavers onto their chosen post 16 pathway. Lots of our students achieved excellent results, and importantly met their personal learning goals. Some stand out individual performances included; Alicija Telka 3 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s, Tamandeep Singn 2 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 5 grade 7s, Szymon Mudia 1 grade 9, 1 Distinction* and 5 grade 8s and Alex Summers 1 grade 8, 1 Distinction*, 1 Distinction and 2 grade 7s.

Bilton School are well and truly on the path of sustained improvement. Well done to all our students and staff for their incredible hard work and dedication, as well as the unwavering support from parents'.
